The new R5 frame is 130g lighter than the previous model—a 16% reduction from an already-light frame.  And while aerodynamics weren’t a focus with this frame the way they would be on an S5 or P5, bringing the cables inside reduced drag by 25g.

TURBULENT AERO

New to R5 this year is the Reserve 34 - 37 TA Wheelset. That TA stands for Turbulent Aero, a new way of thinking about aerodynamics. Reserve and Cervélo have developed a protocol by which we replicate real-world wind conditions, and develop airfoil shapes that perform better outside. This means a wheelset that’s not only light, stiff, and fast, but exceptionally stable and confidence inspiring in all wind conditions.

FRAME SIZING

How do I determine what bike size I need?

The age-old question, isn’t it? There are many factors that go into bicycle sizing and fit, particularly for high-performance bikes. Without being able to measure you and see you on a bike, precise fit information is difficult to supply. It’s also not unusual for someone to be able to ride two different sizes depending on their goals, flexibility, and fit tolerance. That said, we have some fantastic retailers, and we’d encourage you to go start a conversation with them about what you want from your new bike.
