Introducing Nathan

Originally from Shepparton and now settled in Geelong, Nathan brings extensive bike industry experience to Hendry’s, along with a lifelong passion for all things cycling.

Married with three kids, Nathan has worked in the cycling world since the age of 17, developing hands on experience across all areas of the retail environment including workshop mechanics, sales and store management. His broad knowledge of bikes, customer service and rider needs makes him a valuable addition to the Hendry’s team and a familiar face many local riders will quickly get to know.

With a genuine passion for helping people find the right bike and enjoy their riding experience, Nathan brings a practical, approachable style to the showroom floor. And while owning his own bike store has always been a long-term dream, he’s excited to now be part of the next chapter at Hendry’s.

How did you get into cycling?
Bikes have always been a big part of my life, but it was around the age of 15 that BMX racing really sparked my passion for the sport. What started as riding and racing locally, quickly grew into competing at an elite level, travelling across Australia to race some of the country’s best riders.

A career highlight came in 2003 with a 7th place finish at the BMX World Titles - an achievement that remains a proud moment after years of dedication to the sport and countless hours spent riding, training, and racing.

Over time, the focus shifted towards mountain biking, bringing a new appreciation for trail riding and adventures on two wheels. More recently though, BMX has come full circle as my son discovers the sport. Spending time back at the track with him as he begins his own racing journey has reignited that passion and connection to the BMX community all over again.
